Arctic Ocean, Russia, 2017
The Arctic Ocean as seen from the Siberian side, approximately 200 miles from the North Geographic Pole 2017. The five million square miles of white surface that sits like a little 'white cap' at the very top of our planet is an understated mighty armour against powerful solar radiation. The protective 'white cap' at the very top of our world reflects almost 90% of the radiation that hits our earth from the sun. The Arctic Ocean is our only defence, against this powerful phenomena, without it our climate and global weather would be very different .
